OTHER PLACES #13, #14, & #15

“Other Places” is an ongoing series of monoprints made with screen printing. It is an abstract, non-linear narrative about spaces in time and geography. I think of this series more as drawings or paintings than a traditional edition of prints, as each print is unique and there is an element of spontaneity in my process.

 
 

Other Places

2019-PRESENT

“Other Places” is a series of monoprints made with screen printing. It is a non-linear exploration of spaces in time and the meaning we assign to moments and geography. The imagery is taken from personal photographs of places, landscapes, found textures, plants, objects, and intuitively-made marks. The images reference little moments like markers on a timeline, but when combined they form something more akin to memories than history. The imagery is layered and repeated but each print is unique.
